01Who we are

Built for the industry.
By people who understand it.

Founded in Houston, Texas, in 2018, Marine Infotech develops software for the marine industry. Our purpose is practical: help maritime professionals deliver services more efficiently, exchange information more clearly, and access opportunities wherever they operate.

We combine firsthand industry understanding with engineering and software development experience. Rather than introduce technology for its own sake, we focus on the everyday challenges that matter to the people doing the work.

Our mission

To give maritime professionals simple, dependable software that saves time, connects the right people, and makes everyday work on the water easier to manage.

Our vision

To become a respected, innovative company in the maritime industry, and a pioneering example of a business built for people, where long-term success is shared by all.

02Our story

Three paths.
One city. One idea.

Life has a way of bringing the right people together at unexpected moments. For the three founders of Marine Infotech, those paths crossed in Houston, Texas.

Known as the energy capital of the world and home to NASA and world-class medical centers, Houston draws talent from every direction. It became the place where engineering, maritime experience, and software expertise met, and where Marine Infotech was born.

Day one: opening Marine Infotech's first business bank account, the small step that turned a shared idea into a company.

  1. 2005

    A shared purpose

Dr. Tunc and Mr. Ozturk met while volunteering at an event supporting underprivileged students. A common commitment to helping others became the start of a lasting friendship.

  2. 2016

    A new arrival

When Cap. Jack moved to Houston, a mutual friend introduced him to Dr. Tunc. Conversations between a seasoned mariner and an engineering leader soon turned to the challenges facing the maritime industry.

  3. The idea

    From conversation to vision

Casual discussions about what would become iMarS grew more serious with every meeting. Recognizing its potential, Dr. Tunc introduced Cap. Jack to Mr. Ozturk, completing the team.

  4. 2018

    Marine Infotech is founded

The right combination of talent, experience, and intention became the foundation of Marine Infotech, built in Houston for the global maritime community.

We faced every challenge a startup can face. With a never-give-up attitude, we kept building.

Today, we are proud of iMarS, with ZipChandler and iMarC on the horizon. Each product is shaped by thoughtful features and fair, caring business decisions that we hope you will notice and appreciate.

We hope to welcome you into the Marine Infotech family and share the ease and benefits of our community for many years to come.

03Leadership

Individual depth.
Collective strength.

Building a successful business takes more than exceptional individual talent. It takes the right people, complementary expertise, and a leadership team that moves with a shared purpose.

Together, our founders form a coherent approach to leadership: understand the need, challenge the assumptions, and build with purpose. It is how we bring business priorities, real-world operations, and technical decisions into alignment.

04How we do business

Profit with principle.
People with purpose.

Every company exists to make a profit, and we are no different. But how a company makes its money says everything about who it is. Too often, people are sacrificed for short-term gains: employees are treated as costs, and customers become a means to an end.

At Marine Infotech, profit matters, and so does doing what is right for the people we serve and the people who build our company. We create products that earn their value honestly and deliver a genuine win for everyone involved.

We want to be proof that a company can be run with integrity and humanity. Our goal is to build a community, not just a client list, where everyone we work with feels part of our success.

“We measure success not only by what we earn, but by the value we create for the people around us.”

  • 01

    Win-win by design

Our products succeed only when they create real, lasting value for the people who use them.

  • 02

    People are never the trade-off

We do not sacrifice our team or our customers for short-term gains. Long-term trust comes first.

  • 03

    Community over clients

We build relationships, listen closely, and grow together with the maritime professionals we serve.

05What guides us

Progress with purpose.

  • 01

    People first

We build for the people behind maritime operations, with their needs, experience, and success at the center of our decisions.

  • 02

    Useful innovation

The best technology solves a meaningful problem. Our focus is practical software that makes work simpler.

  • 03

    Shared value

Commercial success should work both ways. We create products that support our customers’ efficiency and business performance.

  • 04

    Lean by design

We value clear processes and thoughtful use of resources, keeping unnecessary complexity out of our business and our products.
